I love listening to those 90's style jungle and DnB albums with surreal cover art depicting endless oceans and gravity defying geometry, so it got me wondering, wouldn't it be cool to fly around in one of those worlds? That's basically the idea behind my most recent indie game project, Aero Boy.

I've only been working on it for about a month, so as of right now it just has a flight simulator mode. But I just wanted to get it out in the open as quickly as possible to see what people think. The free demo is out now if you want to try it out.

As some of you may know if you've seen my recent uploads, I'm currently working on a new game. Much like my last game, it's heavily inspired by the music I listen to. Also like before, I'm starting by developing the visuals first, then I'll be designing the game mechanics based on the vibe.

So this could change, but right now I'm envisioning this game as a first person dungeon crawler, much like Shadow Tower or King's Field. Alternatively, I do love strategy games so maybe I could go for more of a turn based tactics direction, like X-Com or Fire Emblem. So I'm curious what you think: Which type of game would you be more excited to play set in this dark future goth aesthetic? Also, how does it look so far?

I made a playlist on Spotify of the music that inspired me to start this project, so you can check that out too.

Ok, I know, this is my second post about my game, but this is a big announcement because I've finally finished the expansion I've been working on for a few months. This latest update added almost as much content to the game as was present in the original release version, which means it's about double the size it once was. There's even multiple endings!

So I just want to say that there's more to this game than what you see at first glance. The reviews it currently has are very old by now and there have been many improvements since then. I had a clumsy release because of bad planning, but I'm really proud of where it's at now so I don't think you'll be disappointed if you give it a chance.

And of course, all reviews are incredibly helpful, so I really appreciate them regardless if they're positive or negative. That way I learn to make better games, and you have more high quality video games to play.

I always feel weird doing self promotion like this, so I'm sorry if this comes off as annoying. But since I just released a new update to my game I figured it would be a good time to talk about it.

So I started working on this indie game in my spare time about 2 years ago when I still had a job, and since I was laid off earlier this year it's become my main project for the year basically. It's my first self-published indie game ever, so there's a lot I've learned along the way and a lot I would do better if I could go back and redo it. But my friends tell me it's a pretty fun time and I'm still working on adding more and improving it, so it might be worth checking out especially since it's on sale as of writing this post.

I opened Photoshop today and was really disappointed to see a notification that they added AI generation in the app. I don't want to deal with the issue of credibility now that it may be questionable whether I actually created a piece of art myself if I used Photoshop to make it, so I'll be looking for an alternative very soon. Please let me know if you can suggest another good drawing/painting program. I'm also extremely furious to find out only now that Adobe has been secretly using my personal files as AI training data, and I had to deliberately opt out of that in my account privacy settings. I already had massive disdain for this scumbag corporation, but now I absolutely despise Adobe and want nothing to do with them.
